John George CURRAN

John George was born in Ternagreevagh on the 17th January 1884, the son of George Curran and his wife Sarah (nee Newport).1 On his birth certificate, he is named as John George, but appears to have been known as George Otto for most of his life.

Both the 1901 and 1911 Censuses list him as living in the perental home, single and a "Farmer's Son".2,3

He died on 19th April 1964 aged 80 years, and was interred in the family grave in Loughgall cemetry. The headstone shows he was living at Fairlawn (a few miles east of Loughgall).4
